There is a new development in the ongoing conflict regarding who will play music baron Gulshan Kumar in the lavish biopic that his son Bhushan Kumar is all set to produce. Subhash Kapoor will direct the film that has been in discussion ever since it was announced. The project suffered a setback of sorts when Akshay Kumar opted out even returning the signing amount he had accepted for the project. When Aamir Khan came on board as co-producer there were strong rumours of Aamir taking over the part. But latest developments suggest that the star selected to play Gulshan Kumar is none other than Ranbir Kapoor. According to sources close to the development Aamir has personally requested Ranbir to step in. After the way Ranbir owned the part of Sanjay Dutt in Raju Hirani's Sanju it is felt by both Aamir and Bhushan Kumar that Ranbir is the best fit for the biopic.
