CHEESY MASALA RICE BALLS
Ingredients
2-3 tablespoons grated processed cheese
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon chaat masala
1 cup cooked rice
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon gram flour
1 tablespoon rice flour
Juice of ½ lemon
Oil for deep-frying
Method
1. Mix together rice, onions, coriander leaves, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, gram flour, rice flour, cheese and lemon juice in a bowl.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
3. Divide the prepared mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls.
4. Deep-fry the balls in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
