It's time to dive into a divine creamy and rich Indian pudding or kheer made by simmering almonds with milk & flavoured with saffron. You don't need no occasion to make Badam Paysam simply enjoy this dessert whenever you fancy 🥰
BADAM PAYASAM
Ingredients
1 cup almonds blanched and peeled
1 lt full cream milk
3 tbsps rice soaked
½ tsp green cardamom powder
6-8 saffron strands
½ cup sugar
2 tbsps almond slivers for garnishing
Method
1. Heat milk in a deep non stick pan. Grind rice and almonds coarsely and add to the milk. Cook on medium heat stirring often.
2. Add green cardamom powder and mix well. Add saffron and mix. Cook till rice is completely cooked and the mixture thickened.
3. Add sugar and stir till it dissolves.
4. Serve hot garnished with almond slivers.
