PAN FRIED HAM CHEESE AND MUSHROOM SANDWICHES
Ingredients
4 ham slices
4 cheese slices
8-10 button mushrooms, sliced
8 white bread slices
1 tablespoon butter + as required
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon fresh thyme
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
Salt to taste
Cream cheese as required
Mustard paste as required
Method
1. Heat a non-stick pan.
2. Spread some butter on both sides of bread slices, place on the hot pan and toast equally from both sides till golden and crisp. Transfer onto the worktop.
3. Heat 1 tablespoon butter and oil in the same non-stick pan. Add mushrooms, thyme, garlic and salt, mix and cook till mushrooms are soft and done. Transfer it into a bowl.
4. Spread some cream cheese and mustard paste on 4 of the toasted bread slices. Put some mushroom mixture, ham slices and cheese slices. Cover with remaining toasted bread slices.
5. Heat the same non-stick pan. Place the prepared sandwiches on it and pan-sear on low heat for 2-3 minutes.
6. Serve hot.
Preparation Time: 10-12 minutes
Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes
