KIMCHI AND CHICKEN GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH
Ingredients
1 small cabbage, cut into cubes
½ cup boiled and shredded chicken
1 tablespoon oil
4 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
2 teaspoons tomato ketchup
Salt to taste
8-10 brown bread slices
Butter as required
Toasted sesame seeds for sprinkling
Grated mozzarella cheese as topping
Method
1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add brown sugar and cook till it melts. Add soy sauce, vinegar, crushed red chillies and mix well. Add tomato ketchup and mix well. Add salt and cabbage and mix well. Remove from heat.
2. Add torn chicken to the cabbage mixture and mix well. Set aside to cool.
3. Spread some butter on both side of bread slices. Spread some chicken mixture over bread slices, sprinkle some sesame seeds and top with some cheese. Cover with other bread slice.
4. Heat a non-stick pan. Place the prepared sandwich and toast from both sides on low heat till golden and crisp.
5. Slice and serve hot.
Preparation Time: 8-10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes
