STUFFED PATTICE Ingredients 2 raw bananas, peeled, boiled and mashed � cup fresh scraped coconut 2-3 walnuts, chopped 5-6 raisins, chopped 1-2 green chillies, crushed 1 teaspoon castor sugar Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoons cornflour 1 tablespoon refined flour 1 tablespoon oil + for deep-frying � cup fresh breadcrumbs Method 1. To prepare stuffing, take coconut in a bowl. Add walnuts, raisins, green chillies, castor sugar, salt, crushed peppercorns, coriander leaves and lemon juice and mix well. 2. Take mashed bananas in another bowl. Add salt, 1 tablespoon cornflour and refined flour and knead into a soft dough. 3. Transfer the dough on the worktop, add 1 tablespoon oil and knead well. 4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. 5. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls. 6. Make cavity in each ball, put some coconut mixture in the center, seal and shape into tikkis or pattice. 7. Take breadcrumbs on a plate. 8. Take remaining cornflour in another bowl, add 1- tablespoons water and mix well to make a thick slurry. 9. Dip each pattice in slurry and coat with breadcrumbs. 10. Deep-fry each prepared pattice in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 11. Serve hot.
