Spinach flavoured balls stuffed with cheese mixture and deep fried.
SPINACH CHEESE BALLS
Ingredients
1 cup spinach puree
⅓ cup grated cheddar cheese
⅓ cup grated processed cheese
3 tablespoons cornflour
¼ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
2 teaspoons red chilli flakes
Oil for deep-frying
½ cup shredded cabbage
3 tablespoons carrot strips
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method
1. Mix together spinach puree, cornflour, breadcrumbs, panko breadcrumbs, salt and pepper powder in a bowl.
2. Mix together cheddar cheese, processed cheese, salt, pepper powder and chilli flakes in another bowl.
3. Divide the spinach mixture into equal portions, stuff with cheese mixture and shape into balls.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry balls golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Mix together cabbage, carrot, pepper powder, salt and lemon juice in a bowl.
6. Serve with spinach cheese balls.
