Green Garlic Pakoda | हरे लहसुन का पकोड़ा | Winter Recipes | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana
Fresh tender green garlic stalks and spring onions make pakodas refreshing. Coriander lends its special flavour too.
GREEN GARLIC PAKODA
Ingredients
½ cup chopped green garlic stalks
1 tbsp chopped green garlic bulbs
½ cup chopped spring onion greens
¼ cup chopped spring onion bulbs
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp carom seeds
¼ cup rice flour
1 cup gram flour
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Green chutney to serve
Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
1. Combine spring onion greens spring onion bulbs green garlic stalks green garlic bulbs coriander leaves turmeric powder red chilli powder carom seeds rice flour gram flour and salt in a bowl. Add ¾ cup water and mix well.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Add 2 tbsps of the hot oil in the prepared mixture and mix well.
3. Gently slide in small portions of the mixture and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
4. Serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
