Crispy samosas stuffed with hakka noodles, tossed in spicy sauce. An interesting fusion recipe to try out !
CHOWMEIN SAMOSA
Ingredients
8-10 spring roll sheets
1 cup readymade Hakka Noodles
2 tbsps corn starch slurry + for sealing
1 tsp oil
7-8 garlic cloves, sliced
1tsp ginger, chopped
2-3 spring onion bulbs, sliced
2 tbsp schezwan sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp soya sauce
Salt to taste
1 tbsps chopped spring onion greens + for garnish
Toasted white sesame seeds for garnish
Method
1. Fill the noodles in the spring roll wrappers and shape into triangles. Use a refined flour slurry to seal the edges and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic, ginger, spring onion bulbs, schezwan sauce, tomato ketchup, soya sauce. Add ½ cup water, salt and cornflour slurry and mix well.
3. Add the fried samosas and spring onions greens and toss.
4. Transfer into a serving plate. Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion greens and serve hot.
