Moong Dal Chicken is an excellent snack recipe that you can enjoy with your friends and family to lighten up your mood!
MOONG DAL CHICKEN
Ingredients
1½ cups salted fried moong dal
300 grams boneless chicken breasts cut into thin strips
1½ tbsps ginger-garlic paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp + a pinch red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
2 eggs
Refined flour (maida) for coating
Oil for deep frying
Green chutney to serve
Method
1. Take chicken in a large bowl add ginger-garlic paste turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder cumin powder coriander powder garam masala powder salt and coriander leaves and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
2. Transfer the salted fried moong dal in a zip lock bag and coarsely crush it with the help of a rolling pin.
3. Break the eggs in a small bowl add a pinch of red chilli powder and salt and whisk well with a fork.
4. Take some refined flour on a plate.
5. Coat each chicken strip with the refined flour dip it in the eggs mixture and coat it well with the moong dal.
6. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the chicken strips a few at a time and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
7. Serve hot with green chutney.
