Versatile Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee is all set to comeback on big screen with her upcoming film Mardani 2, but after the trailer launch she and her film has been hit by the protesters for its story. Actually, this film is based on a murderer and a rapist which is based out from Kota and the kidnapping and crimes related to women. This story is said to be inspired by true events surrounding the city, which is why the social activist group and people of Kota are against the film, as it is putting their city in bad light. Kota is known as the education hub for Engineering and Medical entrance exams and this film might turn it around for them. So, the social activist and Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla are against it and want the makers to make the necessary changes. Director Gopi Puthran has praised Rani as the Cop Shivani Shivaji Roy.
