Chunks of chicken flavoured with ginger and some basic masalas makes for an amazing dish for all!
ADRAKI MURGH
Ingredients
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
1 inch ginger cut into thin strips + for garnish
300 grams boneless chicken cut into 1 inch pieces
2 tsps oil
1 tsp ghee
1 bay leaf
3-4 green cardamoms
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 medium onion finely chopped
Salt to taste
½ tsp garlic paste
¾ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder
½ cup fresh tomato puree
2 tsps crushed coriander seeds
1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tbsp fresh cream
Fresh coriander sprig for garnish
Method
1. Heat oil and ghee in a non-stick pan add bay leaf green cardamoms and add in the pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant.
2. Add onion and mix well. Add a pinch of salt and sauté till onion turns translucent.
3. Add chopped ginger ginger strips and garlic paste and mix well. Cook for a minute.
4. Add salt red chilli powder coriander powder and Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder and mix well. Add 2 tbsps water and mix.
5. Add tomato puree and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes or till the oil separates. Add chicken and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
6. Add crushed coriander seeds chopped coriander and 1 cup water and mix well. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or till the chicken is cooked completely.
7. Add fresh cream and mix cook on low heat for 1 minute. Take the pan off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl.
8. Garnish with ginger strips and coriander sprig and serve hot.
