Biopic Films is the new trend that Bollywood has recently adopted, than be it of a cricketer, celebrity, freedom fighter or a sinner saint. Now the next round of Biopic is on Asaram Bapu who went from saint to sinner. This is planned by producer Sunil Bohra who has earlier given some great content driven films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Shahid, Tanu wed Manu etc. Sunil will create this biopic film with reference to Ushinor Majumdar's novel - 'God of Sin: The Cult, Clout and Downfall of Asaram Bapu' and adapt the script accordingly. The main plot of the film will be driven from the Rise of Asaram to his 2013 sexual assault case to his life sentence given in the year 2016. Producer Sunil Bohra gave a statement saying - 'He has read the book and has also spoken to the lawyer of the Victim to know the details and facts. And in this case there were two lady cops who were also the mains to this case and they were actually the real heroes. One of the lady inspector was from Jodhpur and the other one was from Surat and their story is a real inspiring one. This biopic film will focus on all these characters and other factual things'. Sunil further added - 'he has acquired the rights of the book and meets the writers personally as he wants to give a very international approach and appeal to this film. And as soon the script of the film is ready the cast will be selected too'.
