DHUSKA POORI
Ingredients
1 cup short grain (kolum) rice
1 cup Bengal gram (chana dal)
Salt to taste
½ cup green peas
1 inch ginger, chopped
1-2 green chillies, chopped
A pinch of asafoetida
Oil for shallow frying
Method
1. In a bowl, add kolum rice, bengal gram, add sufficient water and soak it overnight.
2. Drain, add ¼ cup water and grind it into a smooth paste.
3. Transfer it into a bowl, add green peas, ginger, green chillies, asafoetida, salt and mix well.
4. Heat oil for shallow frying, pour some batter to make small pancakes, cook from both side until golden brown.
5. Serve hot with dal.
