KONKANI STYLE DAL Ingredients ¾ cup split skinless pigeon peas (toor dal) 2 green chillies slit A pinch of asafoetida (hing) ½ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder Salt to taste 2 tsps coconut oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 4-5 curry leaves 1-2 dried red chillies 2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves Steamed rice to serve Method 1. Put soaked toor dal into a pressure cooker add green chillies asafoetida Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder salt and 2½ cups water and mix well. Cook under pressure for 3-4 whistles. 2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves dried red chillies cooked dal adjust salt and coriander leaves and mix well. 3. Serve hot with steamed rice.
