This fusion version of sausages seared in mixed herbs and wrapped in a dough is a wonderful way of snacking.
SAUSAGE ROLLS
Ingredients
6 chicken sausages
1 cup warm milk
1 tsp activated dried yeast
2 tbsps sugar
Salt to taste
2 cups refined flour + for dusting
1 tbsp oil + for brushing
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
Butter for brushing
Method
1. Pour milk in a bowl. Add dried yeast sugar salt and mix well
2. Add refined flour and knead to soft dough. Brush with oil cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
3. Give slits on both the sides of chicken sausages without cutting through.
4. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add onion powder garlic powder dried mixed herbs and sauté for a few seconds. Add the sausages and sear for 2-3 minutes on medium heat. Add salt and mix well. Set aside to cool down.
5. Divide the dough into equal portions. Dust some refined flour on the surface and roll it into oval shape.
6. Preheat the oven at 180°C.
7. Brush some butter and roll to form cylinders.
8. Roll around the sausages and transfer on a baking tray. Brush butter and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
9. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
10. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
