Ready in no time the crunchy deep-fried parcel of cream cheese and chicken mince is a lovely deep-fried pastry. Love it.
CHICKEN AND CHEESE PARCELS
Ingredients
¾ cup chicken mince
8 wonton sheets
2 tbsps chopped spring onion bulbs
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tbsps chopped spring onion greens
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
Salt to taste
¼ cup cream cheese
1 tbsp blended sesame oil
Corn flour slurry as required
Oil for deep frying
Sweet chilli sauce for serving
Method
1. Take chicken mince in a bowl. Add spring onion bulbs garlic spring onion greens crushed black peppercorns salt cream cheese blended sesame oil and mix well.
2. Place the wonton sheets on worktop. Place the mixture in the centre and brush the cornflour slurry on the edges. Bring 4 edges together to make a pocket.
3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and slide the prepared pockets in. Deep fry till golden brown and crisp.
4. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with sweet chilli sauce.
