Bollywood's Beauty and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has freezed her next film in which she plays the Negative character for the second time. This film is a Mani Ratnam film and has been adapted from the Novel 'Ponniyin Selvan' by Kalki. According to an inside source - This film is based on before 10th Century' King Raja Cholake. Aish will be seen playing the role of Nandi, who is wife to the Chancellor and Treasurer Periya Pazhuvettaraiyarki. The character of Aish is that of a power hungry woman who manipulates her husband for creating a downfall of the kingdom due the wrong down by them to her. Sources also reveal that along with Aish, her father-in law will Amitabh Bachchan will also be there. Reports also suggest that Mani Ratnam has been planning on this film from almost 10years now and is planning to do it on a grand scale. He has also roped in Vikram, Simbu & Jayam Ravi. The Pre-production work of the film has already been started and by the end of 2019 the shoot will also be started.
