DAHI CHANA
Ingredients
1½ cups yogurt (dahi)
1 cup chickpeas (kabuli chana) soaked overnight and boiled with salt
1½ tbsps oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 medium onion finely chopped
3 green chillies
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1½ tsps garam masala powder
Salt to taste
A fresh coriander sprig for garnishing
Method
1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan add cumin seeds and sauté for ½ minute. Add onion and sauté till it turns a light golden.
2. Roughly chop green chillies and add along with ginger-garlic paste mix and sauté for 1 minute.
3. Add chickpeas and toss. Add yogurt and mix well. Mash a little with a hand blender and mix well. Cook for 1 minute.
4. Add turmeric powder and garam masala powder and mix well. Add salt mix well cover and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes.
5. Transfer into a serving dish and serve hot garnished with coriander sprig.
