Spicy Molagapodi Chicken | मोलागा पोड़ी चिकन | Chicken Recipes | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana
Chicken marinated in a homemade dry spiced powder and cooked to perfection is a wonderful recipe that you can easily make at home.
SPICY MOLAGA PODI CHICKEN
Ingredients
1½ tsps gun powder (molaga podi)
2 chicken legs
1½ tbsps ginger-garlic paste
1½ tsps red chilli powder
1 tsp fennel powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
¾ tsp garam masala powder
½ tsp white pepper powder
Salt to taste
2-3 green chillies chopped
6-7 curry leaves shredded
1½ tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1-2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
½ lemon
2-3 tbsps oil
Green chutney to serve
Dahi kanda to serve
Method
1. Make a few slits on the chicken legs.
2. Take ginger-garlic paste in a large bowl add red chilli powder fennel powder turmeric powder garam masala powder white pepper powder salt green chillies curry leaves Kashmiri chilli powder gun powder coriander leaves squeeze lemon juice and add ¼ cup water and 1-2 tbsps oil mix well.
3. Add chicken legs to the masala. Stuffed the masala in the slits and rub well. Set aside for 25-30 minutes.
4. Preheat the oven for 180℃.
5. Heat remaining oil in a non-stick shallow pan add marinated chicken pieces and cook the chicken on high heat for 2-3 minutes on both sides.
6. Place the chicken on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes.
7. Bring the chicken out of the oven and transfer on a serving plate.
8. Serve hot with green chutney and dahi kanda.
