MULLED WINE Ingredients 450 ml red wine 3 tablespoons brown sugar – 70 gms 1½ inch cinnamon 3 cloves A pinch nutmeg powder A pinch of crushed black peppercorns 2 star anise Method 1. Heat wine in a deep non-stick pan. Add brown sugar and mix till it melts. Add cinnamon, cloves and crushed peppercorns and mix. 2. Add nutmeg and star anise, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally. Strain in a bowl. 3. Pour in individual serving wine glasses, place a cinnamon stick in and serve warm.
