Hon'ble Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari is a Minister for Road Transport & Highways of India and Shipping Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises in the Government of India. He is also known for his work as the Public Works Department Minister of the State of Maharashtra where under his leadership a series of roads highways and flyovers across the state were constructed – including the Mumbai-Pune Expressway India's first six-lane concrete high-speed expressway. He is closely associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) which is headquartered in his home constituency of Nagpur. He currently represents the Nagpur constituency in the Lok Sabha and is a lawyer and industrialist by occupation.
The Aegis School of Business Data Science Cyber Security and Telecommunication has established the Aegis Graham Bell Award as a tribute to the father of the telephony Alexander Graham Bell. This Award is intended to promote innovations in the IT Telecom SMAC domain and Exponential Technologies to provide recognition for outstanding contributions by the innovators.
The Award is organized with support of the Niti Aayog Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCOE) India a public-private partnership initiative of DoT with 08 Centres at premier academic institutes (06 IITs IISc and IIMA) of the country each supported by a Telecom Service Provider and Convergence India.
