BESAN EGG CHEELA
Ingredients
½ cup gram flour (besan)
4 eggs
Salt to taste
3-4 fresh coriander sprigs, chopped
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
Oil as required
50 grams processed cheese, grated
Tomato ketchup for serving
Method
1. Take gram flour in a bowl. Add salt, ¾ of chopped coriander sprigs, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix well.
2. Break in eggs and whisk well to make a semi-thick smooth batter.
3. To prepare one cheela, heat 1 teaspoon oil in a non-stick pan. Pour a ladleful of batter, spread to make a thick disc, reduce heat, cover and cook from one side for 2 minutes.
4. Spread some cheese on top, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Garnish with some chopped coriander sprigs and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
