DESI FISH AND CHIPS Ingredients 1 medium Indian salmon (rawas) cut into fillets French fries to serve Salt to taste 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp roasted cumin powder 1½ tsps fish masala 1 egg broken Dried breadcrumbs for coating Oil for deep frying To serve Green chutney Salad Lemon wedges Method 1. Take fish fillets in a large bowl. Add salt and lemon juice and mix well. 2. Take turmeric powder red chilli powder roasted cumin powder and fish masala in a large plate and mix well. Place the fish fillets and apply the masala well on both the sides of the fillets. 3. Take egg in a bowl add 2-3 tbsps water and mix well with a fork. 4. Dip the fillets in the eggs and place on the bread crumbs and coat well with the bread crumbs on all sides. 5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the fish fillets and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper. 6. Arrange the fried fish in a serving bowl serve hot with green chutney salad French fries and lemon wedges.
