CHILLI GARLIC LAMB CHOPS
Ingredients
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
½ teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
8-12 lamb chops
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon oil + for grilling
¼ cup yogurt
2-3 tablespoons refined flour
Method
1. Combine lemon juice, salt and lamb chops in a bowl, mix well and set aside for 30 minutes.
2. Dry roast coriander seeds for a minute. Transfer in a mortar and crush coarsely with a pestle. Add green chillies and crush. Add turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder and chilli powder and mix.
3. Add the masala to the lamb chops and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes.
4. Add garlic and chilli flakes and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon oil and mix well. Add yogurt and mix well. Set aside for 30 minutes.
5. Add flour to the lamb chops and mix well.
6. Heat some oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the lamb chops in it, apply the marinade on top and grill till evenly done from all sides and the chops are fully cooked.
7. Garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot with onion rings.
Preparation Time: 2-3 hours
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
