MEDITERRANEAN FRENCH FRIES
Ingredients
3 cups French fries, frozen
Oil for deep-frying
Mediterranean mix
¼ cup white sesame seeds (safed til)
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon zatar
½ teaspoon cumin powder
¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
Salt to taste
Method
1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry French fries till crisp.
2. Dry roast sesame seeds, dried thyme, dried oregano and dried basil for 30 seconds.
3. Transfer into a grinder jar, add zatar, cumin powder, cinnamon powder and salt and grind to a fine powder. Use as required or store in an airtight container.
4. Heat a non-stick pan. Add fries and sufficient amount of Mediterranean mix and toss well. Adjust salt, if needed and toss again.
5. Serve immediately.
Preparation Time: 5-10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
